Artucopia 2014

Join us this Saturday for a colorful & creative event! We will be making some seed mosaics with a Gobbly twist and a plentiful patch-worky harvest Garden Print. It will definitely be a smart way to keep little hands busy for the afternoon- and they come home with fabulous artwork to share with their families for the upcoming holidays! THIS Saturday, November 22, 2014, from 1-3, $25 per student.

2014 FALL Class Line-up

New Adult Class offered this fall

Let Go & Create is our new Adult Art Class, offered on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:15.
Class will be drop-in style for $20 a class. Hope to see you there!

Summer Camps were awesome!

The Camp Grand Finale- an Oversized Rainbow Flower completed as a group project by the entire class

Our Summer camps were a breath of fresh creative air. Since we were doing some renovations in the studio this summer (new floors!), we were able to offer just 2 weeks of camps. But we filled those two weeks to the brim with some of the most inspiring and awesome art projects for our special artistic campers! Our camp motto this summer was 'Everything is Awesome when you work as a team!' and we emphasized this in our class projects by teaching about community and collaboration while encouraging each individual artist and their own unique talents. We also placed special emphasis on having FUN with interesting techniques and bright colors! Here is just a sampling of some of the fun projects we covered during our summer camps!

Erin and Gretchen worked on some pop flowers with these bright shapes on a textured background.

Rachael led the class in an Underwatercolor painting using watercolor pencils and our watercolor pallets.

Beth instructed the campers in Portrait Drawing 101, with these Book Page Portraits. A wonderful way to liven-up a self-portrait.

The campers had a blast rolling colorful paper into tubes of various sizes and thicknesses to create our rolled-paper cities. Another collaborative work to emphasize the premise of community and teamwork.
